Larry K. Meredith, the author of the historical novel This Cursed Valley, has been a writer throughout his working life. In his career he has been a newspaper man, a salesman, an advertising and sales promotion writer for a Fortune 500 company, a university public relations director, and has owned his own marketing and video production company. He has written hundreds of published essays and newspaper and magazine articles.

He has recently completed a second novel and a biography of a Hollywood stuntman, both of which are in the hands of a literary agent.
A few years ago he retired from his position as Assistant to the President and Director of Public Relations at Western State Colorado University in Gunnison. Unable to succeed at retirement, he recently served as the interim Executive Director of The Gunnison County Library District.

In 2012 he started a publishing company – Raspberry Creek Books, Ltd. – to publish niche books that “celebrate the American West” He is currently also serving as the Director of the Publishing Certificate program which is part of the Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing at Western State Colorado University.
