The Rifle That Was

Step back in time to enjoy historic photos of Rifle in the 1930s. The museum may be closed for the season, but Rifle Creek Center for Historical Preservation is on the road sharing photos of historic Rifle. Representatives from the Museum will be on hand for an opening night reception to answer any questions about our rich history.

This event is being held in conjunction with the exhibit, “Dust, Drought, and Dreams Gone Dry” that will reside at the branch from March 6 until April 17. “Dust, Drought, and Dreams Gone Dry” was developed by the American Library Association Public Programs Office in collaboration with the libraries of Oklahoma State University and Mount Holyoke College. The exhibition and tour were made possible in part by a grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities: Exploring the human endeavor.
