Mud slides, blizzards, and road closures are not too far-fetched here in Colorado. Local emergency preparedness and outdoor enthusiast Dan Chaney will be at the Silt Branch LIbrary on Saturday, March 8 from 2-4 p.m. to cover important topics such as having a 72-hour emergency kit, heating and cooking with alternative sources, filtering and storing water as well as some surprising and unusual tips.
