The Gordon Cooper Branch Library and KDNK announce the kick off of the 1st Annual “Sopris Sunflower City Spectacle”. It is the goal of these two organizations to make Carbondale bloom with Sunflowers this summer. At the end of the summer KDNK will have a contest to name the best sunflower in Carbondale.
Stop by the library after the Parade of Species on Dandelion Days between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., Saturday, May 7th. There will be a gardening expert on hand to talk about the best ways to cultivate amazing sunflowers and supplies to start your spectacular, prize winning sunflower seeds.
