PAWS to Read

Come to the Rifle Branch Library for Paws to Read on Thursdays before our special Summer Reading events!

Paws to Read is a program dedicated to improving the reading skills of children using certified therapy dogs and their handlers as literacy mentors. The dogs listen without judgment, making this a nice way to practice reading aloud. Children in grades K-5 are invited to sign up for 15 minutes of one-on-one time with the pet-partner team. Advance registration and a signed parent permission slip are required.
