Old Timers Remember Hard Times of the Depression: Interviews with Walter Gallacher
Walter Gallacher, creator of Immigrant Stories, a series of interviews which appears in the Glenwood Post and on KDNK Community Radio has teamed with Garfield County Library for The Big Read: The Grapes of Wrath, by interviewing locals who lived through the Great Depression of the 1930's.
Tune in to KDNK Community Radio February 2013 to hear first hand living history from local old timers who lived through those worst hard times. Air time for Gallacher's interviews with well known local folks who lived through the Great Depression is Tuesday, February 19th at 4:30 p.m. Additional short interviews will be aired on the Express Yourself Show on Friday afternoons at 4:30pm on Feb 1st, 8th, 15th, and 22nd.
