Summary:

Five years ago, Laura Townsend's life was nearly destroyed when a head injury impaired her ability to use language and forced her to abandon a brilliant career. Her vivacious spirit intact, she has found a great new job at an animal clinic-and a handsome new boss who fills her heart with longing. Now he's moving heaven and earth to convince her they belong together, but since she can't fulfill all of his needs, shouldn't she love him enough to walk away?

Staff Review:

After sustaining a brain injury, Laura Townsend learns to walk and talk again but has trouble with numbers and big words. She finally finds a job as a kennel keeper with an animal clinic. Laura loves her job taking care of the animals but finds herself falling in love with her boss. When things begin to go wrong at the clinic, she starts to question her ability to do the job. Being out in the world again is great, but someone wants her to fail.
This book has just the right amount of suspense and I think even those who don’t necessarily read romance will find this an entertaining and heartwarming story. It grabs you right away and you suffer with her trials and cheer with her successes.
