Lorax Lessons for Adults

Join us at the Rifle Branch Library at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 28, for two environmental presentations we're calling "Lorax Lessons for Adults." Steve Anthony, Vegetation Manager for Garfield County, will present a program called "Invasive Species: Not Just Weeds" and Patrick McCarty, Extension Agent with Colorado State University Extension, will present "Human Populations, Natural Resource Supplies: Have We Scared Our Children Yet?" Why "Lorax Lessons?" We're referring to the Dr. Seuss classic, The Lorax, which carried an environmental message. A new film version of the story will open in March on what would have been Dr. Seuss' 108th birthday.
