History of Kannah Creek and Whitewater

The Glenwood Springs Branch will present a two-book series on Kannah Creek and Whitewater on Thursday, February 17th at 7pm in the basement meeting room for the second program in the 2011 Winter Lecture Series. Carol Anderson's Kannah Creek ... The People, Their Stories & The History and Whitewater ... The People, Their Stories & The History explore the histories of these areas in western Colorado.  Anderson is a long-time Kannah Creek resident who compiled historical information from a myriad of sources: magazine and newspaper articles, books, oral histories, and personal interviews with descendants of the families who homesteaded in the area in the late 1800s. Refreshments will be served.
