Great Depression Game Day
Did you know that Monopoly was created during the Great Depression as a way to make light of the terrible economy, allowing people to revel in the opportunity to "travel" to Atlantic City, become a millionaire, and purchase real estate?
Get in the Big Read spirit, and come to the Silt Branch Library on Saturday, February 9th at 10:30 a.m. for the Great Depression Game Day to try your luck in Monopoly. Other toys and games for kids to play will be available. Light refreshments will be served.
For more information, contact the Silt Branch Library at (970) 876-5500.
