Gov. Ritter visited Rifle Branch on Dec. 9
Governor Bill Ritter Jr. visited the Rifle Branch Library on Thursday, December 9, to dedicate the library's rooftop solar array and celebrate the achievements of the Garfield New Energy Communities Initiative and the Rifle Sustainable Main Street Initiative.
Gov. Ritter's visit focused on Rifle's accomplishments through the statewide Sustainable Main Street Initiative, and recognized the new energy achievements throughout Garfield County resulting from the Garfield New Energy Communities Initiative. Gov. Ritter also dedicated the solar electric system on the Rifle Branch Library roof and recognized the efforts to maximize energy efficiency at the new library. Both were projects of the Garfield New Energy Communities Initiative.
