Staff Review:

In order to quell the 200 year war with the neighboring county of Belquat, Princess Nakaba

of Senan has been sold…eeerr, married off to Prince Caesar, a good looking, but selfish and
possessive young man.

Hidden away because of her red hair, Nakaba has led a solitary existence in a tower built
for one with only her attendant, Loki for company. Loki is an ajin, or sub-person (half
human, half animal) and is viewed as nothing more than a beast.

Mounting hostilities, budding romance, loyalty, deception, the impending approach of
war…..visions of the future?!

Somehow, Nakaba must find her path through this malevolent world she finds herself in,
but will Caesar join her?

This is an intriguing manga with a strong female lead who is not afraid to stand up for
what she believes in, even at the cost of her life. Love triangles complicate the matter
when Nakaba is torn between her loyalty to Loki and her building feelings for Caesar, not
to mention that Caesar has past flames of his own! Throw in supernatural powers and a
tyrannical king and you’ve got the perfect mix of romance, action, and fantasy. Besides, you
can’t go wrong with cute boys with animal ears!
