Cover Letter Workshop

Our GoToWorkshops@YourLibrary series features a Cover Letter Workshop at the Parachute Branch Library from 2-3 p.m. on Saturday, February 18. (Click here to learn more about the GoToWorkshops@YourLibrary series, which teaches computer and job-seeking skills.)

Does your cover letter sell your skills and experience? Your cover letter should emphasize your strengths and grab the reader’s attention. Take this workshop to learn how to write an effective cover letter. This workshop will review content, format, and organization of the cover letter. Additionally, instructors will discuss how to research the organization and how to target your cover letter for specific positions. Advance registration is required. Sign up at the Parachute Branch Library or call 285-9870.

There are classes offered for both English and English Learning participants; this session will be in English. The Rifle Branch also will host an English session on Sunday, February 12. Sessions at our Glenwood Springs Branch on Sunday, March 4, or at our Gordon Cooper Branch in Carbondale on Wednesday, March 7, will be conducted in English with assistance in Spanish for English Learners.
