Common Reader: Author Talk and Book Signing

Double Take is the story of Kevin Michael Connolly, who was born without legs and went on to travel the world. His journey will change the way you look at others and the way you see yourself. Meet Kevin for an author visit and book signing at the Colorado Mountain College (CMC) campus in Rifle on Monday, November 1, from 7-9 p.m. The CMC campus is located at 3695 Airport Road in Rifle; click here for a map or call 970-625-1871 for more information. (Tip: Click on the titles mentioned here to find them in our catalog.)

This visit is brought to you by the Common Reader program, a cooperative effort of Colorado Mountain College and the Garfield County Libraries. The Common Reader program is designed to promote learning conversations among community members and CMC staff, faculty, and students around a central theme. Past programs have highlighted Plenty, about the locavore movement, and The Translator, about genocide in the Darfur region of Sudan.

A $5 donation is suggested at the door. A portion of the proceeds will go to Eagle Mount of Helena, Montana, which provides recreational opportunities to people with disabilities and support to their families.
