The Colorado River: Flowing Through Conflict with Author Jonathan Waterman
Author Jonathan Waterman will present “The Colorado River: Flowing Through Conflict” based on his book of the same title. The free program will be held at the Glenwood Springs Branch Library on Friday December 14th at 7:00 p.m. and is open to the public.
Waterman’s powerful prose is augmented by Peter McBride’s photography as their book follows the river's 1,450-mile journey from its headwaters high in the Colorado Rockies to its dried-up delta touching the Sea of Cortez.
Jonathan Waterman has authored ten books, and recognition for his work includes magazine and book awards, a literary fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts, and an Emmy.
Waterman's presentation is made possible by a grant from Xcel Energy Foundation and is presented in partnership with Colorado Humanities & Center for the Book, Water 2012 and the Glenwood Springs Branch Library.
