Art in the Stacks: George Cutting III
George Cutting III started creating photographic art in 1974 and is still at it today. An Artist Reception will be held to display his work on Friday, September 6 at the Rifle Branch Library at 6:00 pm as part of the First Fridays festivities. This show will contain work that he created this summer after a trip to Homer, Alaska. He currently resides in Silt with his wife Debbie. On the property of "the Rusty Roof Ranch" is the homesteaders 80 year old "Hunting Cabin" which is now "The Crack In The Wall Gallery". The Gallery is proud to show the works of 20 local artists, including photography, handmade jewelry, oil paintings, wood art, watercolors, cards, pottery, and more.
The Gallery is located at: 1887 County Road 237, (Harvey Gap Road) about 4 miles north of Silt and is open every weekend from Friday to Monday 9 am to 9 pm. Special openings are available - call the gallery (970) 876-1110. Special Artist Reception every "Last Friday" of the month 5 pm to 9 pm.
