Join us every Tuesday at 10:30 a.m.
Teddy Bear Storytime
Come dressed in your jammies and bring your favorite stuffed animal to the Silt Branch Library on April 19 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Teddy Bear Storytime is a special nighttime version of our storytime program, especially for preschool- to Kindergarten-age children. We'll hear stories and enjoy some hot chocolate and cookies. For more information, contact the library at 876-5500.
Bilingual Family Storytime (Storytime en Inglés y en Español)
Children of all ages are invited to the Gordon Cooper Branch Library in Carbondale every Saturday morning at 11 a.m. for a bilingual family storytime. Have fun with bilingual stories and songs while being exposed to a new language. For more information, call 963-2889.
Storytime with Seniors: Share a Song, Share a Story
The Parachute Branch Library's Preschool Storytime is going on the road! Join us at Mesa Vista Assisted Living Center on Friday, December 16, at 11:00 a.m. as we share stories and songs with center residents. The Mesa Vista Assisted Living Residence is located at 0072 East Sipprelle Drive in Parachute.
Christmas Cookies with Santa
Santa Claus will be at the Rifle Branch Library on Wednesday, December 21, at 1:00 p.m.! Come listen to Santa read The Night Before Christmas. Afterward, stay to decorate and eat a Christmas cookie! Contact the library for more information: 625-3471.
Bedtime Storytime
Join us for Bedtime Storytime at the Parachute Branch Library from 7:00 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, December 20. Wear your pajamas and bring your teddy bear for a fun-filled night of stories.

Halloween Trick-or-Treat at the Library
Boys and ghouls of all ages are invited to trick-or-treat at the Gordon Cooper Branch Library this Hallow's Eve. The branch is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; stop by anytime. Beware of SPOOKY stories being told from 6:00-6:30 p.m. in a dark and eerie room!
Storytime Halloween Parade
During the week of Halloween, the New Castle Branch Library is putting storytime on parade! Wear your costume and bring a trick-or-treat bag.
Story Art with Aspen Art Museum
The Aspen Art Museum is partnering with the Gordon Cooper Branch Library in Carbondale to offer Story Art, a free program that combines learning to read with visual literacy and art-making. Held once a month, this program introduces children to the basic foundations of art through engaging storybooks, looking activities, and hands-on art projects. Registration is recommended. Story Art is held on the first Thursday of every month from 3:45 to 4:45 p.m.
Stories & Songs on the Bus!
Join us at the Glenwood Springs Branch Library for a special storytime: stories and songs on a real bus! Parents and caregivers, come read stories and sing "Wheels on the Bus" on a bus parked outside the library. We'll be on a school bus on September 28 (from 10:30-11:15 a.m.) and on a public RFTA bus on October 5 (from 10:30-11:15 a.m.) while our regular storytime space holds the annual fall used book sale.
