Teens! Join us at the Carbondale Branch Library for our book club, where you can talk about books with fellow book-lovers. We will meet on Thursday, December 12 at 4:00 pm. Come enjoy pizza and be prepared to talk about what you're reading now, the best thing you've read recently, or your all-time favorite book or graphic novel. We look forward to seeing you there!
Come to the Carbondale Branch Library on the second Tuesday of every month from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. for Paws to Read! Children in grades K-5 can sign up to read to the dogs for approximately 15 minutes. Featuring dogs and handlers/literacy specialists from Heeling Partners of the Roaring Fork Valley. If you love words, games, and having fun, this club is for you! Our adult Scrabble Club meets from 5:30 - 8:00 p.m. on the first Tuesday of every month in the conference room of the Glenwood Springs Branch Library. Beginners and experts alike are encouraged to join our club, which is free and open to the public. Make new friends and learn new Scrabble strategies. Scrabble boards, scoring materials, and dictionaries are provided.
Garfield County Libraries and Colorado Mountain College ArtShare present "A Legacy of Art" at the Glenwood Springs Branch Library. An Opening Reception will be held on Saturday, December 14 from 5 to 8 pm. The artwork will be displayed until January 30.
Bring your favorite teacup and join us for an afternoon holiday tea at the Parachute Branch Library on Saturday, December 7 at 11:00 am. Christmas music, Christmas crafts and more help us all get in the holiday spirit! Children 10+ may join their parents or grandparents for this afternoon food and festivities.

Reel Readers is back with Rob Reiner's modern classic, The Princess Bride. William Goldman's book of the same name promises to share "only the good stuff" of this swash-buckling, romantic fairy tale!

Students in the 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grade are invited to the New Castle Branch Library on Friday, November 15, from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Video games are going to jump off the screen and right into the library. Join Mr. Paul Stanley in a life size game of Tetris and Angry Birds. Supplies and snacks will be provided. This class is limited to 25 students, and preregistration is required to attend this event.
