Scrabble Club
If you love words, games, and having fun, this club is for you! Our adult Scrabble Club meets from 6-8 p.m. on the first Tuesday of every month at the Glenwood Springs Branch Library. Beginners and experts alike are encouraged to join and the club is free and open to the public. Make new friends and learn new Scrabble strategies. Scrabble boards, scoring materials, and dictionaries will be provided.
Grow Your Money
Because today's financial climate has more choices and challenges than we may be able to keep up with we have invited Dan Niedbalski, Senior Vice President of Alpine Bank, to give us the latest ways to grow our money. Informed options, no sales pitches, questions welcomed.
Program will take place at the Parachute Branch Library on Thursday, November 15th from 2:00 to 3:00p.m.
Teen Movie Matinee
Teens are welcome to join us at the New Castle Branch Library on Friday, September 28th at 2:00 p.m. for popcorn and a movie! We will be watching the movie Coraline. For more information call Lee at (970) 984-2346.
Teen Advisory Group (New Castle Branch Library)
If you are in grades 7-12, you are invited to become a part of the Teen Advisory Group (TAG) at the New Castle Branch Library! The TAG works with the library to shape library services. This is your opportunity to help plan programs and tell us what books, movies and music you would like us to purchase for the library.
TAG meets the third Monday of every month at 5:00 p.m.

Paranormal Teen Party
The Silt Branch Library is hosting a Paranormal Party for teens at the library on October 30th from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Join us for a fun party on all things paranormal, and if you are a bit daring, come dressed up as your favorite paranormal character.
Halloween Party
On October 31st come join the Halloween party at the Silt Branch Library at 4:00 p.m. in the afternoon. This program is geared for preschool and elementary-aged kids. We encourage participants to come dressed up and ready for fun.
Fall Lawn and Garden Tips
Pat McCarty, a certified master gardener from the CSU extension office, will discuss tips on how to best care for your garden and lawn this fall. The program will be held at the Silt Branch Library on Tuesday October 16th from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m.
Reading Buddies Returns!
Be a Reading Buddy at the Glenwood Springs Branch Library. Younger readers (kindergarten to third grades) will be paired with older reading buddies (fourth to eighth grades) to practice reading and develop a love for reading. Reading Buddies meets at the library from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Tuesdays beginning September 11, 2012.
AARP Driver Safety Class
The AARP Driver Safety Class takes place at the Parachute Branch Library on Thursday, November 8th from 8:30 until 12:30.
This class is directed for those over 50 with most Colorado insurance companies offering discount to those who complete the course.
Veterans take the class for FREE, AARP members $12, non-member $14.

Celebrate Teen Read Week: Get Caught Reading
Celebrate Teen Read Week by getting "caught" reading. From Monday October 15th through Saturday October 20th if one of our library supporters sees you reading, you will be given a Get Caught Reading coupon. Visit the Parachute Branch Library and redeem your coupon before 10/31/12. Pizza, cool cash, books, sandwiches are just a few of the rewards for reading. You never know where we will be...grab a book and get caught reading!
