David Mason presents "Ludlow"

This year, CMC’s Common Reader selection is “Ludlow” by Colorado’s Poet Laureate, David Mason. This verse novel tells the story of the Ludlow Massacre in southern Colorado on April 20, 1914, where immigrant miners on strike and their families were attacked and many were killed by the Colorado National Guard. This selection reflects on a momentous event in American labor relations and in Colorado history.
