 This month our focus is on poetry and song lyrics. Bring a song or poem to share, if you can. Our resident musician/ songwriter/Youth Services Librarian will lead poetry and songwriting activities and then hand out the rhythm instruments so you can jam and dance. Music and Game day is the third Tuesday of the month at 4:00 p.m. at the Gordon Cooper Branch Library. For kids in grades K-5.

 Come to the Gordon Cooper Branch Library on the fourth Tuesday of each month for popcorn and a movie! For Kids in Grades K-5.

This will be the first meeting for anyone that would like to join and form an iPad Club (iPads ONLY!). This first meeting will be a focus group where we decide if there's enough interest in this kind of group, how this group's meetings will run, how often we would meet, and what day/time we would meet. This meeting will be in the Small Meeting Room at the Rifle Branch Library on Saturday, March 30 at 1:00 pm. Refreshments provided. Join us and... oh, bring your iPad!  Don't have an iPad? Don't worry, come anyway and we'll share ours!

5th-12th grades, 4:00 - 6:00 pm, Rifle Branch Library

 Hot Wheels Grand Prix takes place at the Parachute Branch Library on Saturday, May 4 from 1:00-3:00 p.m. Bring your own toy cars or play with ours while building tracks, racing new friends and more. For children ages 5-10. Free. 

 Led by an instructor from the Aspen Art Museum, Story Art combines learning to read with art-making and activities that build visual literacy. This popular program introduces children to the basic foundations of art through engaging storybooks, looking activities, and hands-on art projects. Story Art programs are held at the Gordon Cooper Branch LIbrary on the first Tuesday of each month and are for children in grades K-5.

 Come to the Glenwood Springs Branch Library on the fourth Thursday of every month from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. for Paws to Read! Children in kindergarten through grade 5 can sign up ahead of time to read to a dog. The program is free and will feature dogs and handlers from Heeling Partners of the Roaring Fork Valley.

 Celebrate Earth Day this April by using everyday materials to create awesome recycled wallets, gifts, jewelry and more! Join us at the Glenwood Springs Library on April 24th from 4:00 to 5:30 pm to make your own creation! This free program is for elementary school ages only and sign up is required.

Join other teens at the Glenwood Springs Branch Library for a day of gaming and trading. Recycle your electronic games, devices, and accessories by trading them with other teens. Please only bring items that are in working condition. When you’re done swapping your stuff, challenge a friend to a video game showdown.  The annual Winter Lecture Series, a joint programming effort between the Frontier Historical Society and the the Friends of the Glenwood Springs Branch Library, will conclude its 2013 season with a presentation entitled “Scandals Buried at Fairmount Cemetery.”
