Photoshop Skills
Are you ready to unlock the potential of Adobe Photoshop? Come to the Silt Branch Library on Thursday, May 16 at 6:00 pm when local Photographer Ashley Mickelson will lead a class to explain the different menus and panels and tools for retouching your photgraphs or flyers. Some of the tools discussed will be croping, modifying text, resizing/reshaping photos, the history panel, layers, masking, adjustment layers, the clone brush, spot healing, and many more. Come with questions and be prepared for as much of a Photoshop overview that we can fit in 2 hours!
Spring Into Greens: Exploring the Benefits of a Vegan Lifestyle!
Come join Susanna Goldstein, Certified Health Coach, Cooking Diva, and Kitchen Designer, as she explores the benefits of living a Vegan lifestyle. Hear what doctors and others are saying about health. Learn more about the human body and how it is designed to complement a plant-based diet. Discover what a typical daily menu would be like as a Vegan. Find out how to get the required proteins, carbohydrates, and fats to support our bodies. Explore how to transition your current lifestyle to incorporate the “crowding out” method.
Beginning Email Class
The Rifle Public Library offers free computer classes that provide hands-on training to adults. We'll make you more confident when using computers in the library, at work, at home, or when looking for a job. Classes are held the second Wednesday of every month starting at 2:30.

Fancy Nancy Tea Party
Oooh la la! Join us at the Rifle Branch Library on Saturday, April 20 at 1:00 pm for a tea party celebrating the series of Fancy Nancy books by Jane O’Connor. Dress in your fanciest outfit (tiaras, sparkles, and jewelry are highly encouraged!) and we’ll read a Fancy Nancy story, make fancy crafts, play games, and enjoy fancy refreshments!

1st Anniversary Celebration
Please join us in celebrating the first anniversary of the reopening of the New Castle Branch Library. We will be having cake and punch on Saturday, April 13 from noon until 2:00 pm.
Why Your Living Will is Not Enough
Mary Williams will be presenting a program based on the book "A Better Way of Dying." Mary, a retired Clinical Nurse Specialist, has authored 5 books and taught nursing at Seattle University, University of Colorado, and Colorado Mountain College. The book "A Better Way of Dying" has inspired Mary to share her knowledge with adults to help you assess your specific wishes for the end of life.
Mary will cover the following issues:
1. What is a natural death?
2. Exit events which prevent prolonging your life
Tween Book Club
Tweens (ages 9 to 12) are invited to read and talk about good books at the Glenwood Springs Branch Library. Each member selects their own book to discuss. Tweens will be writing anonymous reviews for a library ʺmagazineʺ and blog, as well as creating bookmarks about their books (to be displayed in the library). The Tween Book Club meets after school from 4 to 5 p.m. on the second Thursday of each month. Light snacks are served.
