Local Pianist, Clay "Professor B" Boland will perform a selection of old time favorites on the library's concert grand piano. This free concert will be held at the Carbondale Branch Library on Thursday, Dec. 19 at 7 p.m. Holiday treats will also be provided. Come celebrate Hanukkah, the Festival of Lights! We will be hosting a Hanukkah Party at the Carbondale Branch Library on Monday, December 2 at 4:00 pm. We'll sing Hanukkah songs, light a Menorah, play with Driedels (spinning tops), and eat Latkes (potato pancakes). This year Hanukkah begins the night of November 27, and ends the night of December 5. Do you have a favorite Hanukkah recipe? Feel free to bring a dish of latkes, donuts, or cookies to share. This event is open to everyone: those who celebrate Hanukkah and anyone interested in learning more about this holiday.
Join in the New Castle Branch annual holiday ornament workshop and then visit with Santa on Wednesday, December 18. We will begin making ornaments at 5:30, then Santa will arrive at 6:30. Bring your lists and enjoy a fun evening with Santa at the library!
Santa Claus will be at the Rifle Branch Library on Saturday, December 21 at 2:00 pm for a reading of "The Night Before Christmas!"
Afterwards you will have a chance to visit with Santa and tell him your Christmas wishes!
Join us on Saturday, December 7 from 10:00 am - 1:00 pm as we celebrate Rifle's Holly Days with a craft extravaganza! The Rifle Library is teaming up with the City of Rifle Recreation Department to bring you a day a fun , including crafts, treats, caroling, and an old fashioned horse drawn hay ride! You can also create a special ornament to help us decorate our library Christmas tree!
This is the season for hot tea & holiday treats. Everyone is welcome to bring a friend and join us at the New Castle Branch Library on Saturday, December 14 at 1:00 pm for an afternoon tea & cookie exchange. Please pre-package your cookies for exchange and bring the recipe for sharing. However many cookies you bring is how many you can take home.
Come join us at the Rifle Branch Library on Thursday, October 31 for our annual Preschool Halloween Parade! Show off your costumes on Halloween day as we Trick- or- Treat through city hall and around the East Third street businesses! The parade begins at 10:30 am, but please show up early to gather for the parade!
Join the Parachute Branch Library for a special Storytime to celebrate Thanksgiving. Children are invited to create their own thankful turkey cards and partake in the hilarious second annual Storytime Turkey Toss! This special storytime will be held at 11:00 am at the Parachute Branch Library on Monday, November 25.

Come dressed as your favorite picture book character, enjoy fun games, have some yummy snacks and create amazing art projects.
