Santa's Library Visit

 Santa will be visiting the Gordon Cooper Library in Carbondale early this year so plan to stop by to give him your Holiday wish list. Santa's elves will be there to take your picture with Santa and help you make a holiday ornament to decorate your tree. There will be cookies and candy canes for everyone.

Mark your calendars and plan to stop by the Gordon Cooper Library Saturday December 8th between 1 and 3 pm.

Seasonal Songs with Sue

Come to a winter holiday sing along with our Youth Services Librarian and award winning children's musician, Sue Schnitzer. This will be an interactive and fun program for children through elementary school age and adults.  Program will take place at the Gordon Cooper Branch Library on Monday, December 17th at 6:00 p.m.

Laurie Dameron in Concert

Join us at the Silt Branch Library on Tuesday, October 23 at 7 p.m. to see Laurie Dameron in concert. Dameron, a Billboard Magazine award recipient, has been playing the guitar for over 40 years and singing even longer. Come to the library to hear music from her three CDs: “Utah Dream," "Looking Through the Blue,” and “I Can’t Wait to See You Again.” Listen to her music here.

Keep Dreaming Big! Interactive Music Show by Sue Schnitzer

 On Tuesday, August 7th at 10:00 am, the Gordon Cooper Branch Library presents a bonus Summer Reading Program by their Youth Services Librarian and award winning children's musician, Sue Schnitzer.  Sue performed at the library in 2007 and has recorded four CDs for children.  

Summer Family Movie Night- Dolphin Tale

 Escape the heat and bring the family to the New Castle Branch Library at 6:00 pm on Thursday, August 16th to watch the movie "Dolphin Tale".  We will be providing popcorn and soda.

An Evening with the Legendary Doc Holliday

 The Friends of the Glenwood Springs Branch Library and the Frontier Historical Society present an evening with Dr. John Henry Holliday on Thursday, August 16th at 7:00 pm.  Portrayalist R. W. Boyle will bring the good doctor to life.  The program will take place in the basement meeting room of the Glenwood Springs Branch Library at 413 Ninth Street and is free an open to the public.  

Red June in Concert

 Don't miss Red June's concert at the Glenwood Springs Branch Library on Monday, July 23th at 7:00 pm.  Red June is an acoustic trio based in Asheville, NC creating and performing beautifully distilled Americana music.  They are making waves with their dynamic, yet refined sound that features striking 3-part harmonies, tasteful instrumental work and honest, soulful songwriting that seamlessly blends old-time, bluegrass, roots rock, and traditional country music.
