Closure

All branch libraries will close at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 21. 

All six branch libraries will be closed on Thursday and Friday, November 22-23, for the Thanksgiving holiday. Regular hours resume at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 24. Click here for more information on our branch locations and hours.

All Garfield County Libraries will be closed on Monday, October 1st, for a staff training day. Regular hours resume at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 2nd, at all branches.

All Garfield County Libraries will be closed on Monday, September 3, in observance of Labor Day. Regular hours resume at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 4, at all branches.

All Garfield County Libraries will be closed on Wednesday, July 4, in observance of Independence Day. Regular hours resume at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 5, at all branches.

All Garfield County Libraries will be closed on Sunday, April 8, in observance of Easter. This closure affects only the Glenwood Springs and Rifle Branch Libraries, as our other branches are closed on Sundays. Regular hours resume at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, April 9, at all branches.

All Garfield County Libraries will be closed on Friday, April 20, for a staff training day. Regular hours resume at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 21, at all six branches.

All Garfield County Libraries will be closed on Monday, May 28, in observance of Memorial Day. Regular hours resume at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 29, at all branches.

All Garfield County Libraries will close at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, December 31, and remain closed on Tuesday, January 1, in observance of the New Year holiday. Regular hours resume at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 2, 2013, at all branches.

The New Castle Branch Library will be closed from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, September 7th. Library staff will be attending a Topping Off Ceremony as the final beam is placed on the remodeled New Castle Branch Library building! We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your continued support of the libraries.

The New Castle Branch Library reopens on Monday, February 21st at the temporary location at 820 Castle Valley Blvd near City Market. For more information call 984-2346.
