"The Hunger Games" Movie Release Party
It's almost here! The movie version of The Hunger Games, Suzanne Collins' blockbuster novel (and first in the trilogy), opens on Friday, March 23, 2012. Join your fellow THG-fans for a movie release party on March 16 at 6 p.m. at the Rifle Branch Library. Since THG deals with some pretty intense subject matter, the party is for readers in middle school and older. For more information, contact Amy at 625-3471.
Tuesdays @ the Library: BookTalk
Readers in grade 3 through 5 are invited to BookTalk at the Gordon Cooper Branch Library every third Tuesday of the month from 4-5 p.m. Share with others the latest good book you've read, talk about its juiciest parts, and hear about other awesome books to read!
Global Tea Time
In celebration of this year's adult Summer Reading Program theme, Novel Destinations, the Silt Branch Library invites you to sample teas from around the world. Join us to taste new flavors and discuss novel destinations from your reading. Tea time is from 3:00 to 7:30 p.m. on June 23 at the Silt Branch Library.
Tea Tasting from Around the World
Come celebrate the adult Summer Reading Program's "Novel Destinations" with the New Castle Branch Library from 2-4pm every other Friday this summer (see schedule below). We will be serving teas and finger foods from around the world and discussing novels with foreign settings.

Tea Time Around the World
The Glenwood Springs Branch Library is celebrating the Adult Summer Reading Program's Novel Destinations theme by serving iced teas from around the world. Join other adult readers every Thursday in July from 2-3 pm to drink exotic teas and discuss novel destinations from your reading.
Book Expo Open House!
Wondering what to read next? Want to know what's hot in the publishing market? Need to find the best books to read aloud to your kids or grandkids? Planning a trip and need something to listen to? Join the Parachute Branch Library staff at the open house on April 12th from 6-8pm. Children's Librarian Michelle Duran, avid teen reader Karol Sacca, and adult fiction specialist Beret Brenckman will be available to recommend and discuss titles.
