The Carbondale Branch Library invites teens to join Pizza & Pages on Thursday, Jan. 9 at 4 p.m. for a fun book club to talk over pizza and soda about what they’re currently reading, have read recently, or is their all-time favorite book. Teens! If you love to read, we want to know. For every book you read and fill out a short entry, you will be entered in a weekly drawing for a prize. There will be a winner for whoever reads the most books for the month of January, too. So, grab a good book and visit the New Castle Library to participate. The Glenwood Springs Branch Library invites teens to join a book club that meets on the second Monday of every month from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Bluebird Café, located at 730 Grand Ave. Come enjoy caffeine and a good read with friends. The Friends of the Rifle Branch Library meet on the second Tuesday of each month at the Rifle Branch Library to discuss great books. In November they will be reading "Bossy Pants" by Tina Fey. They meet at 12:00 pm.

The Carbondale Branch Library is thrilled to host Daniel Stashower on Tuesday, November 12 at 7:00 pm as a part of their “One Book, One Town” festivities. Mr. Stashower will be speaking about his newest book, “The Hour of Peril: The Secret Plot to Murder Lincoln Before the Civil War”. Daniel Stashower is an acclaimed biographer and narrative historian, whose work has appeared in The New York Times, The Washington Post, Smithsonian Magazine, AARP: The Magazine, and National Geographic Traveler, as well as other publications.
