Read The Man Who Smiled, then come to the Parachute Branch Library on Friday, June 15th at 6:00 p.m. for a screening of the movie (which is titled Wallender) and a discussion to follow. Come in and check out Parachute's giant screen and movie theater sound! Popcorn will be provided; participants are invited to bring in finger foods as well.
All teens in the New Castle Branch Library and Silt Branch Library Summer Reading Programs are invited to Bowl for Books at the Burning Mountain Bowl on Monday, July 23rd at 3:00 pm. The Alex Project celebration will be held on Wednesday, July 25th, at the Gordon Cooper Branch Library from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. This is where you'll meet your partner, rate your book, share your thoughts with the group, and hear about the books that other teams read.

Practice reading to a friendly dog! This pressure-free audience gives children the opportunity to practice their reading-aloud skills. Children are invited to sign up for 15 minutes of one-on-one time with a dog who loves to listen to stories. Advance registration and parental permission are required.
