 The Ladies Who Do Lunch meet at the Parachute Branch Library at noon on the third Tuesday of every month.

 Headed to high school this fall?  Wonder what it's all about?    Join the Just 4 Girls book club and read what others have experienced.   Club meets June 27th and July 18th from 1-3pm at the Parachute Branch Library.  We promise great reads and fun food. Anime Club

Reel Readers: Movie & Discussion Book Club

Read The Man Who Smiled, then come to the Parachute Branch Library on Friday, June 15th at 6:00 p.m. for a screening of the movie (which is titled Wallender) and a discussion to follow. Come in and check out Parachute's giant screen and movie theater sound! Popcorn will be provided; participants are invited to bring in finger foods as well.

Teen Bowling for Books

 All teens in the New Castle Branch Library and Silt Branch Library Summer Reading Programs are invited to Bowl for Books at the Burning Mountain Bowl on Monday, July 23rd at 3:00 pm.  Space is limited, so please sign up to attend at your home library.  Admission is one summer reading log.  Grades 7-12 only, please.  For more information, call the Silt Branch Library at (970) 876-5500 or the New Castle Branch Library at (970 )984-2346.

Alex Project Celebration

 The Alex Project celebration will be held on Wednesday, July 25th, at the Gordon Cooper Branch Library from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. This is where you'll meet your partner, rate your book, share your thoughts with the group, and hear about the books that other teams read.

 Headed to college?  Need to kick your reading level up a notch?  Don't think you can read a book at the "classic" level?  Select a book from the College Bound Reading List and be paired with an adult that will coach you through the book.

PAWS to Read

Practice reading to a friendly dog! This pressure-free audience gives children the opportunity to practice their reading-aloud skills. Children are invited to sign up for 15 minutes of one-on-one time with a dog who loves to listen to stories. Advance registration and parental permission are required. Paws to Read is held at the Parachute Branch Library every Friday at 11 a.m. To register or get more information, please visit the library or call 285-9870.
