Teen Book Club

The Teen Book Club won't be meeting again until further notice, as we make changes to our youth programming at the Glenwood Springs Branch Library. If you enjoy the Teen Book Club and want to see it return - or if you have any other great ideas for teen programs! - please tell Karen (the Youth Services Librarian) or Pat (the Branch Manager) at the Glenwood Springs Branch. You can reach the branch by phone at 945-5958.

Paws to Read

Paws to Read is a program dedicated to improving the reading skills of children using certified therapy dogs and their handlers as literacy mentors. The dogs listen without judgment, making this a nice way to practice reading aloud. Children in grades K-5 are invited to sign up for 15 minutes of one-on-one time with the pet-partner team. Advance registration and a signed parent permission slip are required. Paws to Read takes place on the first Tuesday of each month from 4-5 p.m. at the Gordon Cooper Branch Library.

Tween Book Club

The Glenwood Springs Branch Library's Tween Book Club meets from 4-5 p.m. on the third Thursday of every month and is open to kids in grades 3-6. In this book club, tweens read books and give reviews to each other, so you never have to read something you're not interested in and you get to tell others about the books you like!

We are putting together a Tween Choice magazine for summer reading suggestions. The release party for the Tween Choice magazine will be on Thursday, May 17!
