The Aspen Art Museum is partnering with the Gordon Cooper Branch Library in Carbondale to offer Story Art, a free program that combines learning to read with visual literacy and art-making. Held once a month, this program introduces children to the basic foundations of art through engaging storybooks, looking activities, and hands-on art projects. Registration is recommended. Story Art is held on the first Thursday of every month from 3:45 to 4:45 pm.
Anyone interested in any aspect of digital camera is welcome to come to the New Castle Branch Library on Wednesday, September 12th to share their successes and get answers to burning questions. Bring your camera, printed photos, photos stored in a memory stick, or on-line. We have wi-fi and a large-screen projection system here at the library so everyone can make the most of the discussion. Whether you are a beginner or experienced photographer you will have a fun time.

Calling all fans of the American Girls! Whether you have read all of the books in this series or just started, join other "American Girls" to talk about the books and pick out some favorites. Bring your doll if you would like to show her off. Fun games, crafts and a drawing for the new American Girl of 2013 book will be featured.
