Photo Exhibit: Grit--Coloradans and the Dust Bowl
The Rifle Public Library is hosting a photo exhibit called "Grit: Coloradans and the Dust Bowl" in April. This exhibit is a collection of 20 Colorado photographs taken during the crippling dust storms of the 1930s. Most of the photos in this exhibit were taken by the U.S. Farm Security Administration photographers documenting life on the Great Plains during the Great Depression. The pictures come from collections at the Colorado History Museum and the Denver Public Library's Western History Collection. This exhibit is on loan from the Louisville Public Library.
