Have you ever wanted to cross-stitch or are you looking for an idea? The library’s Melissa Colasinski will be demonstrating the basics and each attendee will be given a starter pack to get the ball rolling. The class takes place at the Silt Branch Library on Thursday, November 29th at 6:00 p.m. and is free and open to the public. Space is limited. Manga and graphic novels appear in your dreams? Love to read backwards? Join with others suffering the same symptoms at the Anime Club! The club will meet on Monday, November, 26th from 3:00 to 5:00 pm at the Parachute Branch Library.
Come to the Gordon Cooper Branch Library Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. for Preschool Storytime where children ages 3 to 5 can hear stories, sing songs, and create an art project.
Come to the Gordon Cooper Branch Library on the first Tuesday of each month for Story Art, a program that combines storytime with an art activity led by an instructor from the Aspen Art Museum. For children in grades K-5.

Calling all quilters, stampers, needle crafters and scrap bookers! Want to have a day of fun and accomplishment? We’ll have tables, irons, ironing boards and cutting mats all set up for your convenience. Drop in and bring your project for a day of crafting, food and friends. Bring your own lunch; refreshments will be provided. Tackle It Tuesdays takes place at the Parachute Branch Library from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on November 13th.
This is an informal gathering of people interested in all aspects of digital photography, from beginner to seasoned professional. Bring your cameras, questions, and photos in any form. If they are on a disc or memory stick we can project them onto a large screen for all to see. Club meets at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 14th.
Join other aspiring young writers and illustrators at the New Castle Branch Library on Thursday, December 9th at 4:30 p.m. as we explore the secrets of writing and illustrating. Eventually, we hope to create an anthology of short stories by our local your elementary school age writers and artists. Participants must be able to write.
Join us at the Rifle Branch Library for a special Halloween arts and crafts! On Friday, October 26 at 1:00 we invite children to decorate their own trick or treat bags. Jack-O-Lanterns, bats, witches and ghouls galore! Materials provided by the library, no participation fee necessary. Supplies are limited to the first 60 children.
