5th Element K-2 Class @ New Castle
Children in kindergarten through 2nd grade are invited to the New Castle Branch Library on Friday, October 26 from 12 to 2 p.m. to learn about Native Americans. Mr. Stanley. Children will create sand paintings and make models of different types of dwellings. Supplies and snacks will be provided. Crochet for Christmas
Know how to make a simple crochet chain? Need some very quick Christmas gifts? Join us from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. on December 5th at the Rifle Branch Library to create fun and fast potholders. You need a size G crochet hook and a hunk of yarn. Don't have yarn? We've got you covered. Class is limited to 10. Call the library at (970) 625-3471 to reserve your place.
Santa Claus Storytime
Santa Claus will be at the Rifle Branch Library on Saturday December 22nd! Join us at 1:00 p.m. for a special storytime as Santa reads "Twas the Night Before Christmas." Afterwards you will have a chance to tell Santa your Christmas wishes as well as create a special Santa craft!
Holly Days Christmas Craft Extravaganza!
As part of the Rifle Holly Days festivities, the Rifle Branch Library will be hosting holiday fun for kids including Christmas crafts, treats, and horse drawn buggy rides to Centennial Park to help decorate a special tree for the tree lighting ceremony! Join us on December 1st from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. and get into the Christmas Spirit!
Holiday Card Making
Join us at the New Castle Branch Library to make your very own Holiday Cards. Each teen will be able to make at least two personalized cards. Card stock, paints, stensils, stamps, ribbon, glue, picture cutouts, and probably a few other odds and ends will be provided to make your own holiday magic. Call Lee at 984-2346 for more information.
Wrap It Up
Need time and space to wrap up those gifts? We are here to help with big tables and lots of space so you can wrap away! No secrets will be revealed. Even enjoy some refreshments while you toil away. Wrap It Up takes place at the Parachture Branch Library on Thursday, December 6th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
Tackle It Tuesday
Calling all quilters, stampers, needle crafters and scrap bookers! Want to have a day of fun and accomplishment? We’ll have tables, irons, ironing boards and cutting mats all set up for your convenience. Drop in and bring your project for a day of crafting, food, and friends. Bring your own lunch; refreshments will be provided. Tackle it Tuesday takes place at the Parachute Branch Library from 10:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 11th.
