5th Element 3-4 Class @ New Castle

Children in 3rd and 4th grades are invited to the New Castle Branch Library on Friday, November 30 from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. to get crazy for cranberries with Ms. Cooke. Children will use technology to become familiar with a cranberry bog and learn what makes a cranberry bog an ecosystem.  Children will rotate through different stations to learn about cranberries, to check berries for freshness, to compare fresh cranberries to cranberry products, and to taste test the product. This class is limited to 25 children, and preregistration is required to attend this event.

5th Element K-2 Class @ New Castle

Children in kindergarten through 2nd grade are invited to the New Castle Branch Library on Friday, November 16 from 12 to 2 p.m. to get crazy for cranberries with Ms. Cooke. Children will rotate through learning stations using cranberries as a means of exploration and will use their five senses to make observations and predictions about the cranberries. Supplies and snacks will be provided. This class is limited to 25 children, and preregistration is required to attend this event.
