Hey kids, have you ever heard Grandfather Tang's Story? Want to find out what in the world is a Tangram? Children in kindergarten through 2nd grade are invited to the New Castle Branch Library on Friday, December 7 from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. to for a fun time with geometry with Mr. Stanley. We will build 3D structures with toothpicks and marshmallows. Who knows what other crazy things Mr. Stanley has planned! Come and find out. Supplies and snacks will be provided. This class is limited to 25 children, and preregistration is required to attend this event.

Children in 3rd and 4th grades are invited to the Rifle Branch Library on Friday, December 14 from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. to practice fractions through fun activities with Ms. Cathy Carlson. Gain a better understanding of fractions by using fractions in art, music, and preparing food (yes, we get to eat the food!). Students will work with fractions appropriate for their own grade level. Place value can get pretty confusing with bigger numbers, but can be fun and easy to understand the thousands up to a million using money and other objects that come in large numbers. We will use games to practice this concept. Snacks and supplies will be provided. This class is limited to 25 children, and preregistration is required to attend this event.
