Mr. Bones: Paleo-Puppeteer
Bring your kids to meet Tim Seeber, aka Mr. Bones, and his 8 foot tall dinosaur skeleton puppets. Participants can help put a dinosaur skeleton together and pet a tyrannosaurus on the nose.This life sized dinosaur may just swallow you whole!
Mr. Bones: Paleo-Puppeteer takes place at the Gordon Cooper Branch Library on Tuesday, June 18 at 10:30 am.
Keep Dreaming Big! Interactive Music Show by Sue Schnitzer
On Tuesday, August 7th at 10:00 am, the Gordon Cooper Branch Library presents a bonus Summer Reading Program by their Youth Services Librarian and award winning children's musician, Sue Schnitzer. Sue performed at the library in 2007 and has recorded four CDs for children.
Ice Cream Social
Beat the heat with a yummy treat as we celebrate the end of Summer Reading!
The Parachute Branch Ice Cream Social will take place on Thursday, August 2nd at 11:00 am.
Graffiti Dreams
Come to the library to learn the art of graffiti, and create an art piece of your own! Local artist, Ashley Mickelson, will host a workshop at the Gordon Cooper Branch Library on Wednesday, July 18th at 3 p.m. This program is a teen summer reading event brought to you by the Aspen Community Foundation and Garfield County Libraries. Teen Scavenger Hunt
There will be a scavenger hunt for teens at the Silt Branch Library on July 9th from 12:00 to 1:00 pm. After completing the scavenger hunt, pizza will be served.
Smokey Bear Visits the Library!
Come to the Parachute Branch Library on Thursday, July 19th at 10:00 am to meet Somkey Bear!
The Good, the Bad, and the Gross
Come to the Gordon Cooper Branch Library on Wednesday, June 27th from 6:00 to 7:00 pm for The Good, the Bad, and the Gross.
Sock Puppets at the Silt Community Center
Come to the Community Center in Silt to make sock puppets. All materials are provided.
Summer Family Movie Night- Dolphin Tale
Escape the heat and bring the family to the New Castle Branch Library at 6:00 pm on Thursday, August 16th to watch the movie "Dolphin Tale". We will be providing popcorn and soda.
Alex Project Celebration
Participants of the New Castle Branch Library's Alex Project are invited to a special spaghetti dinner to celebrate the finish of their novels. Dinner will begin at 6:30 at the library.
