One Book, One Town Author Visit in Carbondale

Join us for a community read presented by the Gordon Cooper Branch Library. Author Helen Thorpe will speak and sign copies of her book, Just Like Us, on Thursday, October 13, at 7:00 p.m. The event will be held at the Third Street Center Round Room and is free and open to the public.

Kids' Gaming Day

One Book, One Town Author Event (Carbondale)

The Friends of the Gordon Cooper Library present the Sixth Annual One Book, One Town community reading project. This year features the book Running Dry: A Journey from Source to Sea, Down the Colorado River by local adventurer and author Jonathan Waterman. Meet the author for a lecture, photo presentation, and book signing at the Roaring Fork High School Auditeria. The event is free and open to the public.

Friends of Parachute Library Book Sale

Friends of the Parachute Library will sponsor a book sale on Saturday, September 18, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Historical Society School House on C.R. 300 in Battlement Mesa. Everything, including like-new books, will be $1 or less. Friends of the Parachute Library members and teachers with proper ID are invited to peruse the selection on Friday, September 17, from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Individuals and businesses who become members of Friends of Parachute Library at the book sale are entitled to a free book of their choice.
