5th Element K-2 Class @ Silt

Children in kindergarten through 2nd grade are invited to the Silt Branch Library on Friday, November 9 from 12 to 2 p.m. to explore apples using their five senses with Ms. Margaret Cooke.  Children will compare, contrast, and observe apples through a variety of activities. Children in 3rd and 4th grades are invited to the Silt Branch Library on Friday, November 2 from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. to have fun making explosions with Ms. Lauren Zabawa! Join us for experiments galore where we will be making hypothesis, testing different variables, recording our results, and having fun. Supplies and snacks will be provided. Dream Catcher Creations

Learn how to make a Native American dream catcher! Join the fun on Tuesday, November 6, at 6 p.m. at the Silt Branch Library. Materials will be provided. Please pre-register for this program by calling 876-5500 or stopping by the library.

Firetruck Storytime

 On Wednesday November 7th from 10-11am the Silt Branch Library will host a special storytime. Ann will introduce the local firemen and they will read some stories show off their equipment including their firetruck. If parents want, children can climb in the vehicle (and parents can take their picture)!

Cross-stitching

Have you ever wanted to cross-stitch or are you looking for an idea? The library’s Melissa Colasinski will be demonstrating the basics and each attendee will be given a starter pack to get the ball rolling.  The class takes place at the Silt Branch Library on Thursday, November 29th at 6:00 p.m. and is free and open to the public.  Space is limited.  Please call the Silt Branch Library at (970) 876-5500 to reserve your place.

Dana & Susan Robinson, an acoustic duo is from Asheville, North Carolina, are performing at Garfield County Libraries this November. Their sound is a blend of oldtime mountain music and contemporary songwriting featuring the guitar, fiddle, mandolin, and banjo.
