Rifle Branch

Children in 3rd and 4th grades are invited to the Rifle Branch Library on Friday, February 22 from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. to learn about segregation and how it affected all citizens and sparked the civil rights movement with Ms. Melissa Matis. Students will be introduced to the key events and figures of the Civil Rights Movement. Supplies and snacks will be provided. Children in 3rd and 4th grades are invited to the Rifle Branch Library on Friday, February 8 from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. to travel back in time to Ancient Egypt with Ms. Ashley Atwater. Together we will learn about how one of the first organized civilizations. We will get a chance to build a great pyramid together and create life size mummies. Students will also have the opportunity to create scrolls with their own hieroglyphic message inside.  Come join us on this exciting journey through Ancient Egypt! Supplies and snacks will be provided.

Children in kindergarten through 2nd grade are invited to the Rifle Branch Library on Friday, February 8 from 12 to 2 p.m. to travel back in time to Ancient Egypt with Ms. Ashley Atwater. Students will explore and discuss the significance of tradition in Native American Culture. We will also create our own talking stick, buffalo hide painting, and pottery inspired by Native American Traditions! Supplies and snacks will be provided.
