The Rifle Branch Library hosts a book club for all adults and teens on the third Tuesday of each month at noon. For more information, please contact the library at 625-3471. We have selected titles for the next few meetings (click on the title to find it in our catalog and place a hold request):
Jan. 17 - The Weird Sisters by Eleanor Brown
School's out on Monday, January 16, so young people of all ages are invited to join us at 1:00 p.m. at the Rifle Branch Library for a showing of Cars 2 and popcorn!
January 16, 2012, is Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. Want to learn more about Dr. King? Find books about him in our catalog.
Join us at the Rifle Branch Library at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 3, for the next installation of Art in the Stacks. January's featured artist is Roland Klocker. Although Roland has worked for the City of Rifle for 37 years, he only began his second career as a photographer about 6 years ago after taking a photography course at CMC. He has traveled as far as Zimbabwe to capture images of animals but also enjoys visiting local spots such as Rifle Mountain Park.
Bring your questions about eBook readers - and your device, if you have one - to our Rifle Branch and meet with professional geeks from the Marmot Library Network on Tuesday, January 10, at 6 p.m. We'll help you download eBooks and other materials from the Garfield County Libraries' website and answer your questions. This program is free (and so are the eBooks)!
Please join us as we celebrate and thank Judy Martens for her 30 years of dedication to the libraries and the people of Garfield County.
Everyone is welcome, no RSVP necessary. Light refreshments will be served.
