Garfield County Public Library District is looking for a part-time (20 hours per week) Library Assistant for the Rifle Branch Library.
Individuals need to be organized, personable, and willing to work flexible hours including weekends. Library experience preferred, but not required. Starting wage is $12.50 per hour. Some benefits.

It's almost here! The movie version of The Hunger Games, Suzanne Collins' blockbuster novel (and first in the trilogy), opens on Friday, March 23, 2012. Join your fellow THG-fans for a movie release party on March 16 at 6 p.m. at the Rifle Branch Library. Rifle High School art students will share their reproductions of well-known Master works in the latest installation of Art in the Stacks. Art-lovers of all ages are welcome to join us for refreshments and a short talk during the Artists' Reception on Tuesday, March 6, at 6:30 p.m. at the Rifle Branch Library.
To commemorate Black History Month 2012 and the 150th anniversary of the Civil War, the Rifle Branch Library is hosting the Black History Live Tour on February 13 at 7 p.m. The tour features Hasan Davis, a noted Kentucky poet, scholar, storyteller, youth advocate, and Chautauquan (a portrayer of legendary and historical characters).

The Rifle Branch Library will host a Disc-a-Palooza on Saturday, January 21, between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. Bring your scratched CDs and DVDs (no Blu-ray) and we will repair them - right before your very eyes! - for a suggested donation of $2 each. The clean-a-thon is first come, first served, so get here early! Some discs may not be repairable and we will show you how to assess the damage. Questions? Call the branch at 625-3471.
