The Friends of the Rifle Branch Library are proud to host Polly Letofsky, author of the memoir, 3 mph: The Adventures of One Woman’s Journey Around the World. In 2001 Polly Letofsky left her hometown of Vail, Colorado to trek across four continents on foot. Her mission: promote breast cancer awareness and become the first woman to walk around the world. Along the way she relied on the kindness of strangers, experienced a wide array of cultures, and struggled through earthquakes, muggings, and the tragic events of September 11. Join us on Monday, December 9 at 6:30 p.m.

Drop in each Wednesday night at the Rifle Branch Library from 6:00 - 7:30 pm for some explosive tech help that will blast you to the next level of tech-pertise with your digital device. Kindles. Nooks. iPads. Androids. Laptops. MP3 players... You name it, we can help! You will receive 10-15 minutes of on-the-spot training with your questions answered. Be sure to have your device charged and ready to go with any cables you may need before you drop in.

Rifle Shots Dare to Go… Out of Bounds. A spark of art that begins from within becomes a blaze when it is shared with others. Rifle Shots are a group of friends and artists that have been brought together by photography. Though art is a personal journey, Rifle Shots work together to inspire and push each other’s photographic art.The Rifle Branch Library is staying open even later this one night as we go "Out of Bounds" for our artists. An Artist Reception will be held from 6:00 - 8:00 pm on Friday, Decemeber 6.
