Fabric-Flower Pounding
No ink, no paint; just a hammer and you can make lasting images appear on fabric or paper. Join Patt Jones from the Glenwood Sewing Center as she takes fresh flowers and leaves and pounds, yes pounds away. Breathtaking results! The class is free, but registration required. A small materials list will be handed out upon registration.
Program takes place at the Parachute Branch Library on Thursday, March 14, from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon.

Tackle It Tuesday
Calling all quilters, stampers, needle crafters and scrap bookers! Want to have a day of fun and accomplishment? We’ll have tables, irons, ironing boards, and cutting mats all set up for your convenience. Drop in and bring your project for a day of crafting, food and friends. Bring your own lunch, refreshments will be provided.

Finger play, music, and great stories along with playtime makes this storytime the highlight of the toddlers day.

The man with the Hat in the Cat is coming to visit the Parachute Branch Library and what better way to welcome him than with a breakfast of Green Eggs and Ham?

The Good, the Bad, and the Gross Goes Seriously Gross: Snot Edition
Designed for grades 4-6 this is hands on learning at its best. Each meeting we challenge you to come ready for the good, the bad and yes the really gross! This edition is especially gross as it is the yearly SNOT edition. Yep you read it right SNOT...check it out for yourself! GROSS

Experience the 1930s Teen Event
Come to the Parachute Branch Library on Monday, February 26th from noon to 3:00 p.m. and experience a time warp back to the 1930's. Listen to music, learn to swing dance (lessons included), and feast on foods your great grandparents ate. Then, discuss "The Grapes of Wrath" with your peers.
The swing dance lesson will be taught by Maurine Taufer, Dance Director from the Glenwood Springs Center for the Arts. Taufer has taught, directed, and choreographed for over 22 years. She is excited to bring you the most favorite dance style of the 1930’s.
Ladies Who Do Lunch Bunch
Join us at the Parachute Branch Library on Tuesday, February 19th at 12:00 p.m. as we discuss Great Depression era literature, including “The Grapes of Wrath” by John Steinbeck, “The Worst Hard Times” by Timothy Egan, and “Out of the Dust” by Karen Hesse. Enjoy a pot-luck lunch featuring some Great Depression era recipes.
