Parachute Branch

Join the Parachute Branch Library on Friday, February 11th at 1pm to learn how to knit socks. A supply list is available at the branch. Basic knitting skills are required.

Patt Jones from the Glenwood Sewing Center is coming to the Parachute Branch Library on Saturday, January 15th from 9am-3pm to help you make the perfect itty bitty purse. Registration and a $10 non-refundable class fee are due by January 5th. The class fee covers the cost of your purse pattern and lunch.

Struggle with your PC? Bring your questions and your laptop if you'd like to the Parachute Branch Library on Tuesday, January 4th from 6-8pm.  Our resident whiz kid is home from college and available to answer all your computer questions.

Catch the spirit of the season with Christmas cookies and an exhibit of hand-painted ornaments. These aren't your everyday ornaments, these are on display at the Smithsonian! Local artist Rebecca Talbot will show you how to create your own heirloom ornaments. Come to be inspired! We'll share recipes for the cookies, too.

Monday, October 25, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the Parachute Branch Library's Community Room

Calling all quilters! Come enjoy time with your fellow "Sew 'n Sews" and make table runners for our local nursing home. Bring your sewing machine, tools/supplies, and scraps of fabric in Christmas colors. The pattern is provided and we will have irons and cutting boards ready to go. Bring your own lunch; drinks are provided. Prepare for a great day of stitching to help cheer the residents of Mesa Vista Assisted Living Center.
