1st Anniversary Celebration
Please join us in celebrating the first anniversary of the reopening of the New Castle Branch Library. We will be having cake and punch on Saturday, April 13 from noon until 2:00 pm.
Why Your Living Will is Not Enough
Mary Williams will be presenting a program based on the book "A Better Way of Dying." Mary, a retired Clinical Nurse Specialist, has authored 5 books and taught nursing at Seattle University, University of Colorado, and Colorado Mountain College. The book "A Better Way of Dying" has inspired Mary to share her knowledge with adults to help you assess your specific wishes for the end of life.
Mary will cover the following issues:
1. What is a natural death?
2. Exit events which prevent prolonging your life
Honey Dewdrops in Concert
Garfield County Libraries is pleased to welcome The Honey Dewdrops back on stage this summer! This folk and old-time duo is characterized by its Appalachian harmonies, consisting of Laura Wortman (guitar, vocals) and Kagey Parrish (guitar, mandolin, vocals). The Honey Dewdrops have released three CDs and have been touring the country over the past four years. Free concerts will be held at the New Castle Branch Library on Monday.
Teen Advisory Group
Teens currently part of TAG, as well as anyone in grades 6-12, are invited to join us for the chance to help plan programs, purchase books, movies, and music for teens. Stick around for board games, Wii games, and snacks will follow the discussion. TAG meets at the New Castle Branch Library at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, April 15.
Teen! Woven Paper Baskets
Teens! Join us at the New Castle Library on Saturday, April 27th at 1:00 p.m. to turn old magazines into woven baskets!
Teen! Afternoon Movie: Dark Side of the Rainbow
Take a trip over the rainbow with us like you have never seen it before. We will be watching The Wizard of Oz while listening to Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon." You will be amazed at how well they sync together!

Who Picked This Book? Teen Book Club
Like to read? This club is open to all teens who like to read and talk about good books with new friend. Stop by the front desk or call to find out what book we will be discussing this month, or bring whatever you are currently reading to the meeting to share your thoughts with us!
Book club meets at the New Castle Branch Library on Wednesday, April 10 at 5:00 pm.
Manga & Anime Club
Do you love Manga and Anime? So do we! Join us at 5:00 pm on Thursdays in April the New Castle Branch Library to talk about your favorites, get recommendations, and practice your drawing skills.
After School Arts and Crafts
Elementary school children are invited to meet at the New Castle Branch Library after school on Thursday, April 4 to explore different arts & crafts. All supplies will be provided, as well as after school snacks.
Preschool Storytime
All preschoolers are invited to join us at the New Castle Branch Library for stories, crafts and new friends every Tuesday at 10:30!
