New Castle Branch

The New Castle Branch Library is hosting an international potluck on Monday, July 25th at 2pm. Bring a snack or dish from another country -- tacos, pizza, egg rolls, or whatever ethnic food you love! (No bugs will be served!)

The New Castle Branch Library and the Silt Branch LIbrary are heading to the lanes for a bowling for books challenge. Head to the New Castle Bowling Alley on Monday, July 11th at 3pm for some fun competition!

Come to the New Castle Branch Library on Monday, June 27th at 2pm to compete in The Amazing Race! You compete in teams on challenges from around the world in a race to the finish! The object of this game is to use your library skills to find the materials you need to collect to survive. You will be rewarded with fish for your accomplishments. Fish earned throughout the game may be used to buy prizes at the fish auction at the end of the game.

Come celebrate the adult Summer Reading Program's "Novel Destinations" with the New Castle Branch Library from 2-4pm every other Friday this summer (see schedule below). We will be serving teas and finger foods from around the world and discussing novels with foreign settings.

The New Castle Branch Library is taking the Summer Reading Program to the Appletree Community Room. Join us for stories, crafts, and prizes every Thursday at 10:30am!

The New Castle Branch Library is having a Japanese arts and craft day on Monday, July 18th at 2pm. Come try your hand at origami, haiku, and sushi-making with a varity of candies!

Come to the New Castle Community Center (423 W. Main Street) on Wednesday, July 6 at 10am for the Around the World Carnival! Test your skills at world sports, folk games and trivia to win prizes. Sponsored by the Friends of the New Castle Branch Library!

Come to the New Castle Community Center (423 W. Main Street) on Wednesday, June 29th at 10am. There will be a readalong and crafts with Park Naturalist Andrea Wilkins. Come ready to learn about the animals that live in this area!

Bring a favorite book to the New Castle Community Center on Wednesday, June 8 at 10am, and begin logging your Summer Reading time! Registration and reading logs will be available on-site.
