Preschoolers ages 3 to 5 and their accompanying adults are invited to attend story time at the Glenwood Springs Branch Library on Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m.
The Aspen Art Museum is partnering with the Gordon Cooper Branch Library in Carbondale to offer Story Art, a free program that combines learning to read with visual literacy and art-making. Held once a month, this program introduces children to the basic foundations of art through engaging storybooks, looking activities, and hands-on art projects. Registration is recommended. Story Art is held on the first Thursday of every month from 3:45 to 4:45 pm.
All Alex Project partcipants are welcome to the Gordon Cooper Branch Library on Wednesday, October 24th to celebrate completing the project!

The Gordon Cooper Branch Library is continuing the Alex Project into the Fall. For teens this is a chance to increase your college resume, connect with the adults from the community and share the power of a great read. On Tuesday, August 7th at 10:00 am, the Gordon Cooper Branch Library presents a bonus Summer Reading Program by their Youth Services Librarian and award winning children's musician, Sue Schnitzer. Sue performed at the library in 2007 and has recorded four CDs for children.
Come to the library to learn the art of graffiti, and create an art piece of your own! Local artist, Ashley Mickelson, will host a workshop at the Gordon Cooper Branch Library on Wednesday, July 18th at 3 p.m. This program is a teen summer reading event brought to you by the Aspen Community Foundation and Garfield County Libraries. Join us on Thursdays at 10:30 a.m. at the Gordon Cooper Branch Library in Carbondale for storytime especially geared toward small fry! Our Toddler/Infant Storytime is for ages 6 months to 3 years with their accompanying parent or caregiver. Come enjoy twenty minutes of stories, songs, and rhymes for babies and toddlers!
