Toddler Storytime with First Responders
Toddlers (ages 1-3) and their accompanying adults are invited to attend a special toddler storytime with our community's first responders.
On Tuesday, April 30th, storytime will be held at the Glenwood Springs Fire Department located at 806 Cooper Ave.
On Tuesday May 7th, storytime will be held at the Glenwood Springs Police Department located at 101 W 8th Street.

Paws to Read
Come to the Glenwood Springs Branch Library on the fourth Thursday of every month from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. for Paws to Read! Children in kindergarten through grade 5 can sign up ahead of time to read to a dog. The program is free and will feature dogs and handlers from Heeling Partners of the Roaring Fork Valley.

Eco-Crafts from Recycled Stuff!
Celebrate Earth Day this April by using everyday materials to create awesome recycled wallets, gifts, jewelry and more! Join us at the Glenwood Springs Library on April 24th from 4:00 to 5:30 pm to make your own creation! This free program is for elementary school ages only and sign up is required.
Video Gaming and Trading
Join other teens at the Glenwood Springs Branch Library for a day of gaming and trading. Recycle your electronic games, devices, and accessories by trading them with other teens. Please only bring items that are in working condition. When you’re done swapping your stuff, challenge a friend to a video game showdown. Scandals Buried at Fairmount Cemetery
The annual Winter Lecture Series, a joint programming effort between the Frontier Historical Society and the the Friends of the Glenwood Springs Branch Library, will conclude its 2013 season with a presentation entitled “Scandals Buried at Fairmount Cemetery.”
Tween Book Club
Tweens (ages 9 to 12) are invited to read and talk about good books at the Glenwood Springs Branch Library. Each member selects their own book to discuss. Tweens will be writing anonymous reviews for a library ʺmagazineʺ and blog, as well as creating bookmarks about their books (to be displayed in the library). The Tween Book Club meets after school from 4 to 5 p.m. on the second Thursday of each month. Light snacks are served.
Basic Bike Repair and Maintenance Class
Is your bike in the garage collecting dust? Does repairing your bike sound intimidating? The Glenwood Springs Branch Library will host a class on the basics of repairing and maintaining your bike. Our presenter, Dan Mickelson, is a bike enthusiast. He will cover techniques for fixing a flat, lubricating your bike, replacing a worn out tire and more. For the more tricky repairs, we will be raffling off two $20 certificates to a local bike shop to help get you out riding your bike a bit more!
