Tea Time Around the World
The Glenwood Springs Branch Library is celebrating the Adult Summer Reading Program's Novel Destinations theme by serving iced teas from around the world. Join other adult readers every Thursday in July from 2-3 pm to drink exotic teas and discuss novel destinations from your reading.
Folklorico Dancers
Summer is here, and the Library District's Summer Reading Program is in full gear with lots of fun programs! Come see the Vallet Folklorico de Santa Maria dancers perform at the Glenwood Springs Branch Library on Tuesday, June 28th at 6:30pm. Baile folklórico, literally "folkloric dance" in Spanish, is a collective term for traditional Latin American dances that emphasize local folk culture with ballet characteristics - pointed toes, exaggerated movements, highly choreographed. Don't miss this exciting performance!
Multicultural Crafts Fair & Ice Cream Social
Summer is here, and the Library District's Summer Reading Program is in full gear! Come to the Glenwood Springs Branch Library on Tuesday, July 19th at 1pm for an ice cream social and multicultural crafts fair! You can make crafts from around the world while eating yummy ice cream.

Magician Ann Lincoln
The amazing magician, Ann Lincoln, is coming to the Glenwood Springs Branch Library on Tuesday, July 26, at 1pm. Ann Lincoln will amaze you with her incredible magic tricks and expert juggling. Plus, she's sure to tickle your funny bone!

The Denver Zoo is coming to GCPLD!
The Denver Zoo is bringing a van full of animals from around the globe to GCPLD! Come see all the animals at the Glenwood Springs Branch Library on Monday, July 11th at 1pm. This program is only for children in Kindergarten to 5th grade.
Charlie "The Noiseguy" Williams
Check out "The Noiseguy" at Tuesday, June 21st at 1pm Glenwood Springs Branch Library. Charlie "The Noiseguy" Williams returns with his "Many Noises, One Mouth" show. Charlie is a vocal sound impressionist who can imitate the sound of lightsabers, cars, planes, and much, much more! He's also a kids' comedian, author, illustrator, and onomatopoet. Preschool Storytime
Preschoolers (and their accompanying adults!) are welcome to attend storytime at the Glenwood Springs Branch Library on Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. The Glenwood Springs Branch also hosts a toddler storytime on Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m.

Kickoff Celebration & Canvas Bags
The Summer Reading Program kicks off at the Glenwood Springs Branch Library on Tuesday, June 14th at 1pm. Come in for the celebration, and pick up a canvas bag!
Stages of Reading Development Workshop
Please join Literacy Outreach and guest trainer, Evan Weatherbie, for a workshop on the stages of reading development on Tuesday, May 10 at 6:30 p.m. at the Glenwood Springs Branch Library. This workshop will be extremely useful for anyone working with an emerging reader—second language learner or basic literacy student. This workshop is an overview of the different reading stages.
Spring Book Sale at the Glenwood Springs Library: Friends Preview!
Friends members are invited to the book sale preview on Friday, May 6, from 5-7 p.m. Friends memberships will be available at the door for $10/person.
The Spring Used Book Sale at the Glenwood Springs Branch Library is open to the public from Saturday, May 7, through Saturday, May 14. The book sale will be open from 10 a.m. (1 p.m. on Sunday, May 8) to a half-hour before regular closing hours.
Your donated dollars for these items will go to the Friends of the Glenwood Springs Branch Library!
