Go2Workshops@YourLibrary features a Workshop for Mac Beginners & Switchers. Learn how to navigate the Mac! This workshop will cover the layout of the mac, consistencies between macs & pcs, system preferences, standard applications (safari, itunes, iphoto) Bring your Mac and your questions! This workshop will be taught by ByteMarks owner, Donna Dalton.

Computers for Beginners, Level 1
Go2Workshops@YourLibrary is offering a Computers for Beginners, Level 1 workshop! This workshop is for true beginners – no computer experience necessary. This class introduces computer vocabulary including both hardware and software terms. Learn to use the mouse and keyboard. Learn basic computer tasks in a Windows environment, and learn the differences between a document and a program. There are classes offered for both English and English Learning participants. All you need is the willingness to learn! Sign up in advance by calling or visiting your local branch.
Computers for Beginners, Level 2
Go2Workshops@YourLibrary is offering a Computers for Beginners, Level 2 workshop! This class will review the basic computer tasks in a Windows environment and will review the differences between a document and a program. Learn to create documents, save them in the right place (hard drive or USB), and perform proper shutdown procedures. Completion of “Computers for Beginners Level 1” or basic computer, mouse, and keyboard skills are required to attend this workshop.

Our GoToWorkshops@YourLibrary series features a Computers for Beginners, Level 2 Workshop at the Glenwood Springs Branch Library from 2:00-3:30pm on Sunday, May 6.
Poetry Readings
Come to the Glenwood Springs Library during the week of May 21st to check out local 5th graders' poetry on display. Then on Wednesday and Thursday (the 23rd and 24th) the students will provide poetry readings from 6:00-7:00pm. Call Karen at 945-5958 for more information.
Celtic Guitar Concert with Jerry Barlow
Jerry Barlow is returning to Garfield County! Don't miss Jerry Barlow's returning performance at the Glenwood Springs Branch Library on Wednesday, April 25th at 7pm. His music is said to have the power to transport listeners across time and space on an imaginary jouney to a rustic Irish fishing village, the misty Scottish Highlands, or an anceint English forest. His Celtic melodies are characterized by wonderfully warm and expressive guitar stylings. Call 945-5958 for more information!
Slam Poetry
The Glenwood Springs Branch Library is hosting a poetry slam on April 12 from 7:00 to 9:00pm. A poetry slam is a competition at which poets read or recite original work. This program is for high schoolers. Teams of 3 must register by April 5 by stopping by the library or calling Karen at 945-5958.
Special Preview: Friends of the GS Library Fall Used Book Sale
Bargains will be plentiful at the upcoming book sale sponsored by the Friends of the Glenwood Springs Branch Library. The sale will be held from Saturday, May 5, through Saturday, May 12. Don't miss the special preview for Friends members on Friday, May 4, from 5-7 p.m. Friends memberships will be available to purchase at the door for $10/person.
